Overview:
The Sound Recording Engineer ensures all audio is captured at the highest quality during podcast recordings, monitoring levels and troubleshooting any sound-related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Audio Equipment Setup: Set up and test microphones, audio interfaces, and recording software to capture clear, high-quality sound.
- Live Monitoring: Monitor sound levels during recordings, adjusting settings as needed to prevent clipping, echo, or background noise.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly resolve any audio issues that arise during recordings to ensure continuity.
- Post-Recording Checks: Review audio files to verify quality and completeness before passing them to the editing team.
Working Hours:
Approximately 20 hours per month, scheduled around recording sessions.
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Sound Engineering or related field.
- Experience with podcast audio production, including equipment setup and live monitoring.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
